NWA 7574 (EUC-pmict)
Name: NWA 7574 Class: polymict eucrite (S-strong, W-low) Region: Erfoud, Maroko Date: 2012 TKW: 90g The meteorite displys a fesh greyish interior with easily discernable basaltic and dark melt clasts set into a fine groundmass. Some larger pyroxene fragments also occurr. The matrix is intensely fracture and the meteorite shows strong shock effects, e.g. plagioclase is partly to totally converted into maskelynite. |
